*** According to the Administrative Office of the Courts during the fiscal year 2006 - 2007 there were a total of 54,681 cases filed in Shasta County.  Of those 54,681 filings: 85% were criminal filings and 15% were civil filings.   

During that same fiscal year there were 133 jury trials in Shasta County.  Of those 133 jury trials:  87% were criminal jury trials and 13% were civil jury trials.

Dan is the Assistant District Attorney for Shasta County, and has been a prosecuting attorney for over fifteen years. His trial record includes the prosecution and conviction of major drug dealers, thieves, rapists, and murderers, including Patrick Larmour for the killing of Heather Carpenter.

Throughout his 15 years as a prosecuting attorney, he has prosecuted over 150 trials including 20+ murderers.

Aside from being a prosecutor, Dan has worked in the civil courts. He was a professor at both California Pacific School of Law, Bakersfield, California, and California State University Bakersfield, Criminal Justice Department.

Dan and his wife of 18 years, Michele, along with their three children are proud to call Redding home.
